Lin Shiming Wins First Judo Gold Medal at World Police and Fire Games, Showcasing Taiwanese Police Strength

Judo 7th Dan Lin Shiming stood proudly on the podium holding the national flag, once again bringing glory to the country. The 21st World Police and Fire Games officially opened on June 27, 2025, in Birmingham, Alabama, bringing together outstanding police and fire personnel from over 70 countries.

In the judo competition, Lin Shiming defeated last year’s silver medalist, Kosovo's CENA Anton, clinching the first gold medal of this year’s event. This milestone not only represents the first gold for the Taiwanese delegation but also highlights the exceptional skills and professionalism of Taiwanese police. Changhua County Mayor Wang Huimei expressed her congratulations and support.

After having previously won gold at the 2025 World Masters Games, Lin Shiming once again showcased his outstanding technique and formidable spirit on June 28 at the World Police and Fire Games, claiming the gold medal. Changhua County Police Chief Chen Mingjun stated that Lin's consecutive victories are remarkable achievements that bring glory to Taiwan and the police force, instilling a sense of pride.
