Hao Lung-bin Supports Hsu Chiao-hsin, Warns Next Target Could Be Han Kuo-yu's Recall

On the 29th, Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an (right) attended the anti-recall event for blue legislator Hsu Chiao-hsin (center), alongside legislator Chen Yu-jen (left), Taipei City Council Speaker Dai Hsi-chin (left two), and former Taipei Mayor Hao Lung-bin (right two) in support.

The first wave of major recall votes across Taiwan is scheduled for July 26. Hao Lung-bin pointed out that the green camp has a basic support rate of 30%, so the threshold of 25% for recalling is certain to pass. He urged everyone to come out and vote against the recall, or else the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) will target Legislative Yuan Speaker Han Kuo-yu next.

He further questioned, “Can we defend Taiwan simply by opposing China?” criticizing the DPP’s actions, claiming this is the true “selling out Taiwan.” As the countdown to the major recall approaches, actions from both sides are intensifying.

Hao highlighted that the DPP's goal is not just to recall Hsu but to target all five legislators from Taipei, often labeling them as “collaborators with the CCP.” He emphasized that if supporters come out to vote, it can weaken the DPP's influence; otherwise, the risks could be dire.

Additionally, Chen Yu-jen criticized the nature of majority voting, questioning why when the DPP held a majority in previous legislatures, they did not address the same issue.
