Long Queues for Japanese Fresh Donuts in Taipei Lead to Complaints and Store's Apology

Long Queues for Japanese Fresh Donuts in Taipei Lead to Complaints and Store's Apology

A Japanese fresh donut shop opened its first overseas branch in Taipei's Daan District on the 4th, attracting over a thousand customers. However, many customers complained about not being able to buy donuts after queuing from 8 AM until 4 PM, only to be told that they were sold out and asked to leave.

In 34-degree heat, the issue of line-cutting and scalpers has added to the frustration. Following numerous complaints and a drop in Google ratings to 1.6 stars, the shop quickly issued an apology and revised its purchasing rules, implementing a limit of 15 donuts per person and issuing numbered tokens to help peace the discontent.
