80-Year-Old Woman Assaulted by Young Men in Kaohsiung Amid Land Dispute

An 80-year-old woman in Kaohsiung's Zuoying District was assaulted by a group of young men in front of her home over a land dispute. The conflict arose when the neighboring property owner began construction without the consent of all land stakeholders, leading to damage to the woman's property. When she attempted to intervene, she was attacked and sustained injuries, including bruises on her arm and an injury to her eye.
Reports indicate that the woman, identified as Ms. Ren, was physically pushed and suffered from the iron gate's edge hitting her eye. She remains shaken by the experience. The woman's daughter stated that the other party had acquired only a partial stake in the land and that land disputes should be resolved through proper legal channels rather than intimidation or violence. Following the incident, police intervened and arrested three suspects to clarify the events surrounding the altercation.
