2025 French Lifestyle Festival Returns to Kaohsiung, Attracting Thousands

The French Lifestyle Festival has made a grand return, drawing a large crowd. The 2025 French Lifestyle Festival is back in Kaohsiung's Pier 2, generating excitement again and featuring a variety of ocean-themed activities this year. On its opening day, it attracted over ten thousand attendees eager to experience the French charm and renew the summer Taiwan-France celebration.

The first day’s music performances were headlined by Taiwan-France jazz singer Estelle Perrault, French musical theater actor Gauthier Herbin, and international musical theater singer Jaime Bono, delivering classic French pieces that thrilled the audience. The weekend of the festival will be packed with more events! Those looking for interactive experiences shouldn't miss outdoor cultural lectures by popular KOL Jeremy and Anna; Wenzao University’s French department will also introduce its first outdoor French karaoke, inviting singing enthusiasts to learn French songs and enjoy a charming musical time.

At Daxi Park, various exciting street art performances are scheduled, while the cultural area will showcase giant marine-themed comic works created by French illustrator Christopher Boyd. The Taipei French Experimental Education Institute is also offering a hands-on boat-making experience for children, welcoming on-site registration! Sports enthusiasts should not miss the French pétanque competition and the first-ever French coffee fun walk in Kaohsiung.

Renowned French chef Jian Tiancai will once again set up a pop-up restaurant at the festival, preparing Southern French classic dishes that combine Kaohsiung's ingredients for a gourmet feast. The highly popular Shakespeare Bakery will debut at the festival, offering various classic French desserts and limited-edition breads, attracting long lines of eager customers. Additionally, the International Culinary Institute in Kaohsiung will present exquisite French culinary demonstrations, allowing attendees to eat while learning and experiencing authentic French cuisine.

According to Zhang Yanjing, director of the Kaohsiung City Government's Administrative and International Office, Kaohsiung is a vibrant and diverse port city, and the French Lifestyle Festival showcases the perfect blend of Taiwanese and French cultures, combining Kaohsiung’s creative openness with French romance and culture.
