Two Filipino Students Die in Vehicle Crash in Qijin; University Initiates Support Measures

A tragic incident occurred in Qijin, Kaohsiung, where two 19-year-old Filipino university students died in a motorcycle crash while enjoying a day out. Both were first-year students in the Computer Science department at Shu-Te University, having come to Taiwan to study last year, obtaining resident permits. Following the accident, the university has promptly contacted the families to provide support.
Initially, the two students had a fun time at the Qijin beach during the holidays, but they met with the tragic accident on their way back, leaving their classmates shocked and saddened. The vice president of the school stated that they would liaise with relevant authorities in the Philippines for further assistance and actively enhance safety education among students.
