Zhang Zhehan Returns to Stage in Hong Kong After Four-Year Ban

Recently, Zhang Zhehan held his 'Scavenger' tour in Hong Kong. Rising to fame in 2021 with the wuxia drama 'Word of Honor', he faced a nearly four-year ban in China due to the 'Yasukuni Shrine photo incident'. Celebrating his 34th birthday, he expressed his feelings saying, 'Time flies quickly, reflecting on today in 2023, this is my first concert in Thailand, and I've shared an unforgettable birthday with everyone.'
Over the past two years, he has ventured overseas for development, receiving the ‘Most Popular Newcomer’ award at the 'Hito Music Awards' and 'Top 100 Singers of the Year' on the 'KKBOX Stormy Charts' for his album 'Datura'. His directed documentary 'August' also won the 'Global Award' at the 'ARFF International Film Festival Amsterdam' and the 'Best Screenplay Award' at the 2024 Red Movie Awards, which he calls the 'best birthday gift'.
The 'Scavenger' concert was themed 'Interstellar Scavenging', using three prelude videos to narrate the performance, where Zhang Zhehan appeared as an interstellar traveler. Despite falling repeatedly in the sand, and getting sand in his mouth and on his face, he did not complain but instead said, 'I've rediscovered the feeling of acting that I haven't had in a long time.'
