The incident took place on May 31 at around 4 p.m. Police received a report and found Mr. Yip standing by the window of a building before he fell, resulting in immediate fatality. Preliminary investigations indicate that Mr. Yip was a resident of the building, and no suicide note was found at the scene.

According to reports, the school where Mr. Yip taught confirmed his passing and implemented a crisis management protocol, mobilizing teachers, social workers, and educational psychologists to provide immediate counseling for students and staff affected by this tragedy.
