To enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of energy transition, Pan Meng-an, Secretary-General of the Presidential Office, along with Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs Lai Chien-hsin and Chairman of CPC Corporation, Taiwan, Fang Chen-jen, attended the Alaska Sustainable Energy Conference held in Anchorage, Alaska, from June 2 to June 5, invited by the U.S. Department of Energy. In his speech, Pan emphasized the crucial role of Alaska's natural resources in strengthening energy resilience in the Indo-Pacific region, aligning with Taiwan's energy security strategy. He stated that a stable US-Taiwan relationship and peaceful Taiwan Strait are foundational to regional and global peace and prosperity.

Pan also expressed Taiwan’s readiness to be a pivotal force in the future AI era, working with the U.S. to maintain a leading position in high-tech and AI fields. Facing challenges such as authoritarian expansion, climate change, and pandemics, he anticipates deepening cooperation with the U.S. to build a “non-red supply chain,” enhancing both parties' economic resilience and promoting global technological progress. He concluded by inviting attendees to visit Taiwan for a deeper understanding and appreciation of the country.
