Colombia Hit by 6.3 Magnitude Earthquake, Residents Panic and Flee

On the morning of the 8th, at 8 AM local time, Colombia experienced a 6.3 magnitude earthquake with its epicenter located near the capital city, Bogotá, at a depth of just 10 kilometers, classifying it as a shallow earthquake. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the epicenter was located 17 kilometers south-southwest of Paratebueno in Cundinamarca province. The strong tremors prompted many residents to evacuate buildings in panic.
Numerous videos circulating on social media captured the intense shaking, which lasted approximately 5 seconds, and many buildings swayed as a result. This earthquake has drawn widespread attention and concern among the public.
