Tsai Yun-En Falls Short in World Championships Debut, Defeated by Puerto Rico's Star

In her first appearance at the 2025 ITTF World Table Tennis Championships, Tsai Yun-En was eliminated in the second round, losing 3-4 to Puerto Rico's Adriana Diaz, concluding her singles journey at the 64-player stage. The 21-year-old from Hsinchu showcased potential, although she ultimately fell short in her match. She remains optimistic about her performance in the upcoming doubles competition.
The atmosphere was tense, as Tsai initially seized the first game but struggled to maintain momentum in subsequent rounds, particularly in the third game, where she was completely dominated. Despite attempting a comeback in the sixth game, she was unable to shift the tide of the match.
Her pairing with Huang Yi-Hua is scheduled to compete in doubles later, where they aim for a better performance.
