Chen Nai-Yu Urges New Taipei Government to Strengthen National Security and Educational Resources

New Taipei City Councilor Chen Nai-Yu harshly criticized the city government during a council session, pointing out poor performance in education, internationalization, and social welfare policies. She stressed that children should not be made to suffer, and New Taipei should not lag behind other cities.
Chen called on Mayor Hou You-Yi to stop evading responsibility and to address the needs of citizens, expressing dissatisfaction over the state of educational infrastructure.
She highlighted the lack of bilingual educational resources in New Taipei, which falls short of the 2030 vision. Regarding the city's claimed sidewalk coverage and the upcoming termination of bus service, she also raised concerns.
Finally, she noted the presence of Chinese live streaming activities around New Taipei, raising national security concerns and urging the city government to take action to ensure the safety of students and residents.
