International Youth's Journey into Chinese New Year Culture Concludes Successfully

The International Youth Creation Base's Spring Festival tour, organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Journalists Association's International Communication Committee and the Zhejiang International Communication Center (ZICC), has come to a successful conclusion. The event invited foreign friends living in Zhejiang Province to explore the captivating culture of the Chinese New Year.
During the event, six participants were appointed as ZICC's "Cultural Ambassadors for Global Communication of Chinese Culture," bringing the total number of ambassadors to nearly 20. Throughout the activity, Lishui City's Qingtian County and other sites were designated as the first "International Youth Creation Bases," with Qingtian County being the first county-level city in Zhejiang to receive this honor.
The tour began in Hangzhou, where foreign friends gained an in-depth understanding of Song Dynasty culture at the South Song Dè Shòu Palace Ruins Museum. Under the guidance of intangible cultural heritage artisans, they tried their hand at the peach charm printing technique and created exquisite mother-of-pearl handicrafts, gaining a deeper appreciation of Chinese intangible cultural heritage.
At the Jiaxing Zongzi Museum, the international friends learned traditional zongzi wrapping techniques, with an Italian chef innovatively incorporating creative ingredients to craft unique sticky rice dumplings, attracting much attention from everyone present. The experience at the Shiyan Ocarina Music Museum, along with tea brewing and calligraphy sessions by the Jiangnan River, further enhanced the cultural experience.
In Lishui's Qingtian County, foreign friends not only experienced seal carving artistry but also participated in the fun of catching fish in the fields. This cultural exploration vividly showcased the diverse charm of Zhejiang's cultural landscape, and more exciting stories about the Spring Festival will be conveyed to the world through their perspectives.
