Morgan's Supersport: A Fusion of Tradition and BMW Technology from the UK

The British brand Morgan has unveiled its new Supersport, showcasing a unique design that fuses modern technology. Established in 1910, Morgan is known for enhancing classic cars with modern performance, and the Supersport epitomizes this philosophy.

Traditionally known for its wooden chassis, Morgan’s Supersport moves beyond with a bonded aluminum chassis built on the CXV platform. Compared to the previous CX platform, the new frame offers increased rigidity and features a double A-arm suspension system, with an optional Nitron single-adjustable shock absorber to enhance handling performance.

As the successor to the Plus Six, the Supersport maintains Morgan's collaboration with BMW, featuring a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder turbo engine producing 335 horsepower, delivered to the rear wheels via an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. It also includes an active valve exhaust system and offers an optional limited-slip differential.

The exterior of the Supersport retains classic Morgan elements but adds a modern touch. The LED headlights maintain a retro round shape, while the rear features an open drop design, complete with a diffuser, LED taillights, and dual exhaust pipes, enhancing its streamlined look.

The Supersport offers two roof options: a standard foldable mohair soft top for an authentic open-air experience or an optional removable carbon fiber hardtop to enhance body rigidity and handling performance. The interior features Scottish leather and wood accents, along with a Sennheiser sound system, wireless charging pad, and ample storage space including a glovebox, small luggage compartment, and optional luggage rack.

As with all Morgan vehicles, the Supersport is handcrafted at the company's facility on Pickersleigh Road in Malvern, UK, ensuring each car embodies the meticulous craftsmanship and exceptional driving experience. Through the Supersport, Morgan continues its classic heritage while embarking on a new chapter of modernization.
