In response to the opening of a new direct flight route from Taichung Ching Chuang Kang Airport to Incheon, South Korea, Changhua County Government is actively promoting the Korean tourism market by inviting Korean travel industry representatives and media to explore key tourist attractions in the county. The aim is to enhance the appeal of Changhua as a tourist destination and increase international exposure to attract more visitors from Korea.

The visiting delegation consists of representatives from three Korean travel agencies, one airline, and two media personnel, totaling 13 individuals. They will visit places like Tianwei and Lugang, focusing on creating in-depth travel itineraries. According to statistics from Taiwan’s Tourism Administration, the number of Korean tourists visiting Taiwan is expected to exceed one million in 2024, with 220,000 visitors already reported in the first two months of 2025, ranking first among nationalities.

The itinerary includes a visit to various classic tourist locations in Changhua, including the Tianwei Highway Flower Garden, renowned as the "Flower Home of Taiwan," the Chengmei Cultural Park, often referred to as the "Taiwan version of Kenrokuen," the historic Lugang Old Street, and the scenic Baguashan Buddha area. The county government hopes that through showcasing Changhua's rich cultural heritage, delicious food, and natural scenery, it will leave a lasting impression on the visiting Korean guests and attract even more tourists from Korea.

Changhua is rich in tourist resources, featuring 15 tourist factories, 26 leisure farms, and world-class hidden champion industries, along with diverse local cuisine. Furthermore, its proximity to the Taichung Ching Chuang Kang Airport and Taichung High-Speed Rail Station provides a significant advantage for international tourism development.

According to a recent survey by the well-known financial information platform NerdWallet, Taiwan has been ranked as the top travel destination with the highest cost-performance ratio for 2025. Director Wang Yingqi emphasized that Changhua offers affordable prices, abundant delicious food, and convenient transportation, providing international tourists with an economical and worthwhile travel experience. She also invites travelers worldwide to visit Changhua and experience the warmth and charm of the region.
