Mikan Stationmaster Expands to Japan with Pop-Up Store in June

The Mikan Stationmaster, the mascot of Kaohsiung Metro, has gained popularity in Japan, becoming an international tourism ambassador. In June, the Mikan Stationmaster will host a pop-up store in Arashiyama, Japan, featuring limited edition stamps, postcards, and adorable Mikan figurines. This collaboration with Japan's Enoden and Aran-dens will further enhance Taiwan's appeal.

According to Zhang Yuwei, manager of the Media Affairs Office at Kaohsiung Rapid Transit, the mascot previously collaborated with Enoden last September, and this time the collaboration extends to three rail operators; the pop-up store will be open from June 6 to 8, allowing tourists to collect stamps and exchange for cute accessory charms.

Additionally, in August, Taiwan will also launch Mikan IC cards featuring uniforms from Enoden and Aran-den, with a limited sale of 500 units to meet market demand.
