US Vice President Vance: No Intent to Deploy Ground Troops to Iran, Still Open to Diplomatic Solutions for Nuclear Issues

In an interview, US Vice President Vance stated that the recent airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities are not aimed at engaging in war with Iran, and that there is no intention to deploy ground troops. He reaffirmed that the US still hopes for a diplomatic resolution to Iran's nuclear weapon issues.

Following President Trump's order on June 21 for military strikes against Iran's nuclear facilities, Vance pointed out that this action targets Iran's nuclear program rather than a full-scale war. He indicated that while specific intelligence cannot be disclosed, he is confident that the US has significantly delayed Iran's nuclear weapon development.

Vance added, “Our sole aim is to set back their nuclear weapons program, and America has already completely destroyed Iran's nuclear facilities.” He called on Iran to give peace a chance, claiming their performance in warfare has evidently been poor.

Regarding threats to the Strait of Hormuz from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Vance stated that such actions would only harm their economy and disrupt the global market.
