U.S. Bombing of Iran Draws Concerns from Middle Eastern Countries

The U.S. bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities has sparked concerns from various Middle Eastern nations. The Saudi Arabian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on X, expressing hope for a political solution to end the crisis.

Oman stated through state media that the U.S. actions against Iran could 'lead to an escalation of war' and violate international law. Oman has traditionally acted as a mediator in nuclear negotiations between Washington and Tehran.

After the U.S. bombing of Iran, President Trump claimed to have destroyed critical uranium enrichment facilities.

Qatar condemned the U.S. bombing for causing 'deterioration of the situation' and 'dangerous tensions,' warning that such actions could lead to 'disastrous consequences' for the region and internationally. The United Arab Emirates also called for an immediate halt to escalations in conflict, warning of further instability.

British Business and Trade Secretary Jonathan Reynolds indicated that the UK government was aware of the U.S. attack on Iran but did not participate. European Council President Antonio Costa urged all parties to remain calm post-attack, stating, 'Diplomatic avenues are the only way to bring peace and security to the Middle East, and if the conflict escalates, the victims will be civilians.' He reiterated that the EU will continue to seek peace through negotiations.
