Recall Challenge: Song Jianliang Announces Completion of Second Phase Signatures for Li Kun-cheng's Case

Song Jianliang, the lead organizer of the recall campaign against Li Kun-cheng, a legislator from the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) in New Taipei City, announced today (22nd) that he has reached the threshold for the second phase of signatures, stating he is quickly compiling the necessary paperwork. He plans to submit the documents to the New Taipei City Election Commission tomorrow, and if successful, Li will be the first DPP legislator to enter the voting phase.
According to the New Taipei City Election Commission, 26,576 valid signatures are required for the recall of Li Kun-cheng by the 23rd of this month. On Threads, Song reported that they have compiled 27,000 signatures and motivated supporters by saying this is a victory of will and belief, thanking all volunteers for their efforts.
He emphasized the importance of the Kuomintang (KMT) for national unification and economic development, while criticizing current policies, especially the legislative actions of Li Kun-cheng. Additionally, his past actions, including the use of Nazi symbols, have raised concerns in society.
