Democratic Progressive Party legislator Guo Yuqing recently stirred controversy by deleting a post regarding a man live-streaming in a park and offering an apology. Although the man accepted the apology, Guo continues to face attacks from the opposition, particularly regarding her husband’s business background. Today (23rd), Guo stated that her husband left his position four years ago, emphasizing that he was working hard for the company at the time.

In a social media post, Guo pointed out that the Blue and White factions are focusing their attack on a newcomer who lacks electoral support. She questioned whether this indicates a lack of alternative strategies. As the opposition digs into her past posts to launch attacks, Guo remarked that such actions merely reveal their political desperation.

Additionally, Guo stressed that she has not engaged in business in China, reaffirming her beliefs and asking the opposition to refrain from limitless attacks on her family. She warned that malicious attacks on her husband might violate relevant criminal laws.
