University of Wisconsin and Chang Gung University Collaborate on Nursing Culture Exchange

In early June, nursing faculty and students from the University of Wisconsin visited Taiwan for a week-long exchange program led by Professors Der-Fa Lu and Lorraine Smith, exploring nursing specialties and local culture.
Thanks to the careful arrangements made by Chang Gung University, the visiting group toured the university's campuses in Linkou and Chiayi, as well as Chiayi Chang Gung Hospital and local medical institutions, experiencing innovative nursing education, clinical skills training, and a patient-centered healthcare environment.
Professor Gao Yue-Mei from Chang Gung University remarked that this visit was not only about learning professional knowledge but also a cultural immersion. Through exchanges, participants gained insights into the differences and strengths of nursing professions in both countries. The University of Wisconsin also enhanced its academic partnership with Chang Gung University through this experience of Taiwanese culture, laying a foundation for deeper international cooperation in the future. Chang Gung University plans to continue promoting cross-border nursing exchanges and expanding students' international perspectives while cultivating nursing professionals with a global outlook.
