Khamenei's First Statement Post-Truce: U.S. Intervention Can't Save Israel, Nuclear Facilities 'Mostly Intact'

On October 26, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei made a public statement proclaiming Iran's victory over the 'erroneous' Zionist regime. This marks his first public comment since the ceasefire on October 24 that ended 12 days of conflict. Khamenei claimed that the U.S.'s direct involvement was an attempt to prevent the complete destruction of Israel, but he stated it was futile.

Khamenei asserted that Iran dealt the U.S. a blow by attacking the Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar and emphasized solidarity among the Iranian people. He criticized U.S. President Trump’s call for Iran to 'surrender,' stating that it is an insult to a nation as great as Iran. Furthermore, he threatened that if the U.S. attacks Iran again, Tehran would carry out further strikes against American military bases in the region.

The video of his speech aired on state television at 14:05 local time (18:35 in Taiwan), though the filming date remains uncertain.
