Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council Receives Bomb Threat, Demands Removal of News About Vice President Hsiao Mei-chin's Surveillance

The Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) of Taiwan received a bomb threat email today, demanding the removal of news about Vice President Hsiao Mei-chin being monitored by the Chinese Communist Party in Czech Republic. The email warned that a bomb would be placed in the MAC's Central Government Office Building if the news was not taken down within a specified timeframe.
MAC reported the incident to the police immediately and conducted safety checks in cooperation with relevant authorities, confirming no bombs or suspicious items were found. The council strongly condemned such threats and emphasized that the government would pursue legal action against the offenders.
