Italian Man Constructs World's Narrowest Car With Width of Just 50cm

Italian man Andrea Marazzi has spent 12 months building a fully functional electric Fiat Panda, measuring just 50 centimeters in width, at his family's junkyard, and plans to apply for a Guinness World Record.

This car, claimed to be the smallest Fiat Panda in existence, is a single-seater that, while not road-legal, is set to be used for exhibitions due to its unique design. The vehicle retains elements from the 1993 Fiat Panda, including its roof and doors, but has been extensively restructured for a narrower profile.

Measuring 340cm in length and 145cm in height, the car weighs approximately 264kg and maintains the original four-wheel setup. The electric power system allows for a maximum speed of 15km/h, with a range of about 25km on a full charge, making it suitable for short-distance demonstrations. The interior is designed for a single driver, featuring a small steering wheel and headlights, along with mini turn signals.

Throughout the project, Marazzi utilized 99% of the original vehicle's parts, compressing its width to just 50cm—one-third that of the classic Panda. Although this ultra-narrow electric vehicle has a slow speed and is not road-legal, it is lightweight enough to navigate between lanes and through narrow spaces. Marazzi plans to showcase the vehicle at exhibitions and is in the process of submitting a Guinness World Record application for the title of the world's narrowest car.
