New Taipei City Strengthens Economic Cooperation with Poland Through Two-Way Visits

The New Taipei City Government held the "2025 Poland–New Taipei City Trade & Investment Exchange" today (1st) at the "Dot Lab" on the third floor of the city hall, warmly welcoming the visiting delegation from the Polish-Taiwanese Commerce Association (PTIPH). Mayor Hou You-ih attended the event to demonstrate New Taipei's high regard for deepening international economic cooperation.
Mayor Hou noted that in the face of global supply chain restructuring and geopolitical changes, New Taipei City is actively positioning itself in the international market and continuously strengthening industrial linkages with European countries. Poland, being an important member of the EU, has a friendly policy environment and a key geographical position that offers excellent conditions for Taiwanese businesses to enter the European market.
This exchange highlights not only the competitive strength of New Taipei businesses in technology and manufacturing but also symbolizes the increasingly close partnership between the two sides. There is hope for further collaboration in key areas such as smart manufacturing and sustainable development to create mutually beneficial new development opportunities.
Director of Economic Development, Sheng Hsiao-jung, explained that this event continues the tangible results of the export promotion activities held in April this year. Those activities included in-depth inspections of industrial zones in Poland and meetings with local government officials in Warsaw and Lodz to discuss important issues such as smart city initiatives, digital transformation, and industrial upgrading.
President of the Polish-Taiwanese Commerce Association, Agnieszka Sygitowicz, stated that Poland, as a representative of Central and Eastern European economic growth, can provide rich and diverse market opportunities for New Taipei businesses. Under the promotion of EU policies, the Polish market is exhibiting strong momentum and significant business opportunities across various fields, including technology, manufacturing, and energy. Moreover, President Sygitowicz highly commended the innovative energy and international vision of New Taipei's industries, expressing her willingness to be a bridge to promote bilateral cooperation and looking forward to deepening the collaborative relationship.
The Economic Development Bureau emphasized that it will continue to hold international industry matchmaking activities in the future, actively establishing New Taipei as an important platform linking Asia and Europe.
