Russia Establishes Drone Factory in North Korea, Heightening Tensions in Northeast Asia

According to reports from Ukraine's public broadcasting company (Suspilne), Russia is transferring drone manufacturing equipment to North Korea and plans to establish a factory there to produce Iranian Shahed drones. This move will provide North Korea with advanced weaponry and technology, further escalating tensions in Northeast Asia.
Ukrainian military intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov announced that Russia has recently transferred components and manufacturing equipment for the Shahed drone to North Korea and is planning to set up production facilities. This is expected to pose a significant security threat to South Korea. Reports indicate that Russia and North Korea have reached consensus to produce two types of drones, Harpy and Geran, in North Korea, with monthly production increasing from 2,000 to 5,000 units.
Additionally, Russian forces have delivered the Pantsir-S1 air defense system to Pyongyang and are assisting with training. This system is equipped to effectively intercept low-altitude targets and will significantly accelerate North Korea's military modernization. Budanov also stated that North Korea is sending troops to participate in the conflict in Ukraine and is sending a large number of citizens to Russia through labor export to reduce the risk of infiltration. Furthermore, some North Korean workers may join the Russian military as 'volunteers' to gain practical combat experience.
