Ministry of the Interior Ordered to Remove Five Chinese Apps Due to XHS Data Harvesting
Recently, it was discovered that XHS could harvest smartphone data even when not in use, raising public concern. In response, Legislative Yuan Vice President Liu Shih-Fang has strongly urged the Ministry of the Interior to completely delete five China-related applications to ensure user privacy.
Liu pointed out that the data collection practices of these apps infringe on user privacy, thus the Ministry of the Interior must take immediate action to protect citizens' mobile data from unauthorized access.
