Hu Chih-chang Launches Book Reflecting on Political Journey, Han Kuo-yu Praises: Intelligence Matters More Than Hair

Former Taichung mayor Hu Chih-chang has spent three years preparing for the release of his new book, documenting his journey from a veterans' village to the political arena. His experience includes roles as a representative in the US and Minister of Foreign Affairs, culminating in 13 years as the mayor of Taichung.
At the book launch event, Legislative Yuan President Han Kuo-yu humorously remarked that he and Hu have proven that a man's worth lies not in the amount of hair he has on his head, but in the content of his mind. Addressing the recent threats of recall votes against the blue camp, Hu expressed concerns about the Kuomintang's lack of preparedness.
Additionally, while taking photos with Legislator Lai Shih-bao, Hu shared amusing anecdotes about the two times he was almost appointed as Lai's deputy mayor, expressing deep gratitude.
The launch attracted numerous guests from various sectors, including the media. Veteran media personality Chen Wen-chian even attended in a wheelchair, supporting Hu despite her serious illness. In his remarks, Han praised Hu's extensive political experience, calling it a valuable resource for younger politicians to learn from, highlighting its significance in understanding the political and diplomatic landscape of Taiwan over the past 30 years.
