Tainan Participates in New York Taiwan Festival to Promote Tourism

The city of Tainan is participating in the Taiwan Cultural Festival held at Union Square in New York City, showcasing unique local souvenirs, products featuring the tourism ambassador Fish Head Kun, and various promotional materials to market Tainan's attractions to the American public.

The Tainan booth, themed 'Truly Tainan', features a photo installation of Anping Fort, combined with a pinball game to engage local residents. Participants who complete the game and fill out a questionnaire receive small gifts like dried mangoes, drawing many American friends and expats who appreciate Taiwanese culture.

Dignitaries such as Paul Kim, the Mayor of Palisades Park in New Jersey, Ambassador Lee Chih-Chiang from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York, and Director of the Tourism Bureau's New York Office, Chuang Ching-Jen, also visited the Tainan booth to support the team and promote Tainan's unique cultural charm.

Tourism Director Lin Kuo-Hua stated that the city government continues to expand its international tourism market through diverse methods. By participating in international travel exhibitions and promotional activities abroad, they are able to engage directly with locals, understand the preferences and needs of international travelers, and further improve the travel environment to ensure all visitors to Tainan feel welcome.

Invited to participate in the largest Asian event in the New York area, the Taiwan Cultural Festival, the city government team actively markets Tainan's international tourism brand and highlights, hoping to attract expats and international tourists from the Americas to experience Tainan's diverse culture and unique charm.
