Kuomintang Faces Recall Crisis Amid Criticism from Lin Zhuoshui

With 31 recall motions against Kuomintang lawmakers moving into the third phase of voting, the party is under pressure and reportedly plans to adopt 'quasi-nine-in-one election standards' to face this challenge. Party leader Zhao Shaokang intends to produce advertisements and promote short videos to strengthen ties with voters.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the People's Party, Huang Guochang, plans to invite Kuomintang lawmakers to co-host outreach events to garner more support. However, political commentator Lin Zhuoshui has ridiculed the Kuomintang's conduct, pointing out their past actions such as ghost armies and data theft, labeling them as unethical and characterizing the century-old party as 'inflicted with many diseases.'

In this context, although the People's Party did not perform well in a dragon boat race, Huang Guochang emphasized the sense of team cooperation. The party is set to hold large-scale and smaller-scale national policy events in June and July to enhance its support base.

If the Kuomintang confirms entry into the third voting phase, the central party will do its utmost to combat the unprecedented recall crisis.
