2025 Taiwan's Best French Cream Dessert Champion Emerges, Winner to Train at Ducasse Culinary School in France

The "3rd Taiwan Best French Cream Dessert Chef Competition," organized by the French Dairy Federation (CNIEL) and the EU, recently held its final in Taipei. Following rigorous evaluations including online submissions and live semi-finals, five top pastry chefs from various backgrounds competed for the title of "Best French Cream Dessert Chef in Taiwan."
This year’s final theme inspired participants to create desserts based on cocktails, requiring them to design two 8-serving cakes, five plated desserts, and five free-form desserts, all centered around French cream. Each participant had to complete their creations and presentations within time limits, showcasing their understanding of ingredients, flavors, and structures.
The judging panel consisted of four renowned pastry chefs, including head chef Una Han Hui-Ting and others. They commented on the high level of creativity and execution shown by this year’s contestants. The champion, Li An-Hsin, was followed by runner-up Yao Tzu-An and third place Lei Hao-Wei, all of whom impressed with their elegant and structurally beautiful desserts.
The champion will receive an opportunity to study at the Ducasse Culinary School in France, while the runner-up will enjoy a stay at a five-star hotel in Taiwan, and the third place winner will have a fine dining experience at a French gourmet restaurant.
