Brawl in Xinyi District: Two Men Clash Over Noisy Singing
On the third day of the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, a brawl occurred on Xiangti Avenue in Taipei's Xinyi District. A man surnamed Hong was singing loudly on the roadside while drinking, which drew the ire of a passerby, a man surnamed Huang. What started as a verbal confrontation escalated into a physical altercation. Bystanders initially thought it was a performance until the police arrived.
The man in white launched a left hook at the man in black, who skillfully dodged the blow. They exchanged movements, with the white-clad man attempting to close the distance while the black-clad man kept his distance through agile footwork. Crowds gathered, some recording the incident until the police intervened. Although neither man was injured, both were charged under the Social Order Maintenance Act.
