Cultural Fusion and Development Discussed at Cross-Strait Audiovisual Forum in Beijing

The second Cross-Strait Chinese Culture Summit's Audiovisual Exchange Cooperation Forum was held in Beijing on May 30, attracting 130 representatives from the audiovisual industries across the Taiwan Strait.

The forum focused on the theme of "Cultural Fusion and Development between the Taiwan Strait." Li Qiufang, president of the China Broadcasting and Television Exchange Association, noted that the rich heritage of Chinese culture serves as a bond among the compatriots on both sides. He emphasized that only by recognizing Chinese culture and pursuing creative transformation and innovative development can both sides welcome a greater future.

Li called for audiovisual professionals from both sides to embrace their confidence in Chinese culture, work together, and build more platforms for exchange, exploring new models of technology-driven audiovisual development, thus expanding the space for fusion in the audiovisual industries across the Strait and revitalizing Chinese culture in the digital age.

Wang Weijiang, founding president of the Taiwan Chinese Broadcasting Television Program Production Association, stated that the forum laid a solid foundation for future cooperation in the audiovisual industry. He urged the industry to showcase their shared Chinese culture in audiovisual works as true descendants of the Yellow Emperor.

Moreover, 12 guests from both sides gave专题 presentations on topics such as how new technologies like artificial intelligence empower the audiovisual industry, the current situation and trends of new media in both sides, and outstanding case studies in audiovisual cooperation.

This event was jointly organized by the China Broadcasting and Television Exchange Association and the Taiwan Chinese Broadcasting Television Program Production Association.
