US Ambassador to Israel: France Could Consider Establishing Palestine on the Côte d'Azur

French President Emmanuel Macron recently stated that establishing a "Palestinian State" under certain conditions is not only a moral duty but also a political necessity. He urged that if the situation in Gaza does not improve, Western countries should take a tough stance against Israel and impose sanctions. In an interview, US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee suggested that France might consider allocating a part of the Côte d'Azur to establish a Palestinian state. He mentioned that while welcoming the French to do so, he does not want them to exert pressure on any sovereign entity. Huckabee noted that the events of October 7 changed many aspects, referring to Hamas's unprecedented attack on Israel, which resulted in significant civilian casualties and hostage situations. Israel plans to establish a Jewish-Israeli state in the West Bank, and has accused Macron's statements as an attack against the Jewish nation. Meanwhile, France and Saudi Arabia are set to host an international conference at the UN to implement the "two-state solution." According to data from the Gaza Health Ministry, Israeli military actions since October 7 have resulted in over 54,000 Palestinian deaths, with a significant number of civilians displaced.
