Apple's Standoff with EU May Affect AirDrop and Other Features

Recently, the EU demanded that Apple open its software ecosystem to allow Android devices to interoperate with iPhones. Due to the hardline stance from both sides, features like AirDrop and AirPlay may no longer be available for use within the EU.
The EU expects Apple to provide access to APIs for third parties, including AirDrop and AirPlay, enabling easy interaction between Android and Apple products. However, Apple argues that complying with such demands would impact its innovation and could lead to unreasonable costs and privacy concerns. As a result, Apple has decided to appeal to the EU.
If the EU ultimately demands that Apple comply with digital market laws to open its software ecosystem, Apple might impose different functionalities in the EU region, possibly preventing users from using convenient features like AirDrop and AirPlay.
