Yonezawa shot 67 in both rounds at Shishido Hills Country Club in Ibaraki Prefecture, totaling a score of 134, which puts him two strokes ahead of Yuki Inamori.

This year's course has been challenging due to high winds, causing difficulties for competitors. Takashi Ogiso, who led yesterday, fell back with a 75 and is now tied for 13th at even par. Yonezawa's consistent performance of five birdies and two bogeys has once again placed him atop the leaderboard, marking his return to form after the Maezawa Cup.
