In a recent interview with Chinese media, he stated that he has worked to change the culture of the SAR government and has accelerated governance since taking office. Regarding Cheung Kong's plan to sell the Panama Canal port, he emphasized the need to balance overall and personal interests, as well as protect the interests of others. He remarked, "I do not want my success to be built on the harm of others, which is a view that should be held in any position." According to the latest survey by the Hong Kong Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies, nearly 20% of surveyed residents expressed satisfaction with the government's performance, an increase of 5.9% from the February survey.
