Presidential Office Appoints Lin Chang-jo as Representative to Finland, Minister Lin Chi-lung Praises His International Perspective

The Presidential Office announced today the appointment of Lin Chang-jo, a former independent legislator, as the Representative to Finland. Meanwhile, the UK Envoy Liu Huiqian has been approved for retirement and will be dismissed, with National Taiwan Ocean University Law and Politics Professor Jiang Yaqi appointed as the UK Envoy. In addition, Deputy Dean of the College of Law and Politics at National Chung Hsing University, Chen Muk-min, has been appointed as the Ambassador to India.

Regarding the appointment of Lin Chang-jo as Representative to Finland, Foreign Minister Lin Chi-lung stated in an interview that Lin, who served two terms as a legislator, has a deep understanding of diplomatic affairs, especially through his work on the Foreign Affairs and National Defense Committee. He possesses a strong international perspective and substantial experience in international exchanges, particularly in the field of human rights diplomacy.

Jiang Yaqi, the newly appointed Envoy to the UK, holds a bachelor's degree from National Taiwan University and a master's in internet law from the University of Leeds in the UK, where she is also a doctoral candidate. She is currently a professor at the National Taiwan Ocean University. The new Ambassador to India, Chen Muk-min, is a deputy dean at National Chung Hsing University, having previously served as the Envoy to India from 2020 to 2024, resigning after the expiration of his academic leave.
