THE ONE Global Basketball Championship Makes a Grand Return! Taipei Leg Kicks Off on July 6 as Contestants Compete for New York Final Tickets

Jordan Brand has announced the grand return of THE ONE Global Basketball Championship. This annual event features the world's best one-on-one basketball talents, including the Taipei leg among over 15 cities worldwide, showcasing the next generation of elite athletes vying for the championship title that symbolizes ultimate glory.
The Taipei leg will ignite on July 6 at the 新生高架橋 basketball court, where elite basketball players aged 15 to 18 from all over Taiwan will passionately compete to earn their spot in the Greater China regional selection round in Beijing and ultimately vie for final tickets to New York in August. The ultimate winner will have the opportunity to join Jordan Brand as a brand ambassador.
To identify the basketball stars of tomorrow who hold grand dreams and top-notch skills, the second edition of THE ONE Global Basketball Championship will kick off with qualifying rounds in over 15 cities globally, including Taipei, Belgrade, Chicago, Hong Kong, Lublin, Paris, and Tokyo. The UK qualifying round began on May 24, and advancing participants will move on to the next regional qualifying rounds.
As a key city for this year's qualifying rounds, Taipei will welcome the top one-on-one basketball players from across Taiwan on July 6. Participants will compete for the honor of representing Taiwan in the Greater China selection rounds. Officially qualified players for the Jordan THE ONE Taipei leg will also receive a set of carefully prepared gear from the event. Before the competition on July 6, JORDAN 16 Songgao will serve as the Taipei leg's cheering headquarters.
Ultimately, 20 participants will advance to the finals held in New York in August through the regional qualifying rounds. Winners from the 15 to 18 years old category will not only earn the coveted title of THE ONE but also join the Jordan Brand family as brand ambassadors. Additionally, following the final match, Jordan Brand will host a one-on-one DJ battle featuring global musical talents, perfectly concluding the season while paying homage to New York, the birthplace of basketball.
