Breakthrough in Constitutional Court Nomination: Han Kuo-yu Announces Handling of KMT Review Proposal on June 13

On the afternoon of June 10, Han Kuo-yu convened a meeting of party groups to discuss the progress of the Constitutional Court nomination plan. This initiative was previously blocked by the Legislative Yuan last year, after which President Lai Ching-te re-nominated seven candidates on March 21 and submitted the proposal to the Legislative Yuan. However, the process has been stalled due to the KMT's proposal for a revote. Han stated during the meeting that, according to the party consensus reached on June 6, the proposal will be addressed in the legislative session on June 13.

Additionally, Han also discussed matters related to the central government's forward-looking infrastructure plan and the central government budget for the 114th fiscal year. The nominees proposed by President Lai include Tsai Chiu-ming as the president and Su Su-o as the vice president, along with Chen Tzu-yang, Jan Cheng-jung, Hsiao Wen-sheng, Cheng Chun-hui, and Lin Li-ying as other justices. The related nomination documents were submitted to the Legislative Yuan on the same day.
