A hotel in Kaohsiung has teamed up with the Canadian Beef Association and the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei to launch a pop-up Canadian Food Festival. Customers can now enjoy authentic Canadian cuisine without leaving the country.

The festival features dishes like grilled ribeye steak, short ribs, and maple salmon, with all ingredients sourced from Canada. The deputy general manager of the E-Da Royal Hotel, Ding Po-wei, stated that the festival aims to promote Canadian agricultural products, particularly its unique beef, known for its marbled texture and tender quality.

High Shao-jun, market development director of the Canadian Beef Association in Taiwan, noted that Canada has ample grazing land and quality grains for cattle feed, which helps raise premium beef, and he introduced the beef grading system in Canada.

The food festival runs until May 25, during which there will also be a lottery, with the grand prize being a round-trip ticket from Hong Kong to Vancouver.
