Reported by Tsai Sih-Jen from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam - The 2025 Vietnam International Film and Television Exhibition (Telefilm 2025) recently opened grandly in Ho Chi Minh City, showcasing the international prowess of Taiwan's audio-visual industry! The Taipei Audio and Video Production Business Association has organized multiple groups of Taiwanese original content and new media teams to participate, actively expanding the Southeast Asian film and television market and strengthening cross-border collaboration and digital content exports.

Taiwanese creators bring original film and television IP, new media technologies, and innovative storytelling formats to aggressively tap into Southeast Asia's blue ocean market. On the afternoon of the 13th, Korean Yao, the director of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City, visited the Taiwan exhibition area to encourage young Taiwanese creators to continue to expand their professional strength on the international stage. He emphasized that film and television works are vital bridges for cultural exchange and highlighted the significant development potential in Vietnam's emerging film and television market.

Cai Fu-Cheng, the secretary-general of the Taipei Audio and Video Association, stated, "Taiwan's original content possesses international competitiveness, showcasing excellent results in film, animation, short dramas, and new media platforms. We hope that through Telefilm 2025, we can promote Taiwan-Vietnam film cooperation and facilitate cross-border collaboration, allowing Taiwanese film and television works to shine in the Southeast Asian market."

In the exhibition, the Taiwanese team showcased several attention-grabbing works, including the Taiwan-Japan co-produced youth romance film "That Year at the Port, Eternal Summer," which is set to begin filming at the end of this year. It depicts a cross-national youthful love story against the backdrop of a Taiwanese port city. Additionally, the black comedy IP "The Golden Toilet" has achieved over ten million views, attracting international investment interest in its unique storyline. The animation production company MoSen Content Image showcased a virtual modeling material platform called "TDAL," further enhancing Taiwan's competitiveness in the digital content industry.

Notably, Mingying Cultural & Creative signed a cooperation memorandum with the Vietnam UNESCO Multimedia Film Center to jointly promote cultural documentary filming, the curation of the Vietnam Film Museum, and the planning of a sustainable cultural film and television base, thus creating a new model for Taiwan-Vietnam film and television culture.

During the opening night of the exhibition, Vietnamese Taiwanese businesses and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City hosted a welcome dinner, warmly receiving the Taiwanese youth film and creative team and establishing a new platform for Taiwan-Vietnam industry dialogue, further deepening exchanges in the film and television sector. The Taipei Audio and Video Association expressed that it will continue to integrate Taiwan's film and digital content resources, actively promote the internationalization of Taiwan's film brand, strengthen original IP exports, and expand the international influence of new media markets, making "Taiwan Film" an important brand in the Asian creative industry.
