Hanoi's Train Street Café, located in the city's Old Quarter, is well-known for its unique tourism experience where visitors can enjoy Vietnamese coffee while watching trains pass just inches away. However, a recent incident nearly resulted in the death of a foreign tourist, prompting authorities to take notice.

A video circulating on social media shows trains traveling along the café street, causing many tourists to enthusiastically whip out their phones to record and scream in excitement. In one instance, a male tourist in white pants got caught up in the moment and extended his left leg onto the tracks, only to have it struck by the side of a passing train car, causing him to fall forward. Fortunately, other tourists quickly reached out to pull him back, preventing him from being dragged under the train. Unfortunately, a small table next to him was caught and crushed, leading to gasps from the crowd.

Local media reports indicate that the Train Street Café has faced scrutiny due to excessive furniture placement and careless tourist behavior, raising safety concerns. Officials from Vietnam's Ministry of Public Safety stated they will verify the video's content and take strict actions against any violations.
