TSMC Invests $193 Million in U.S. Corporate Bonds to Strengthen Fixed Income Strategy

TSMC announced at 5:57 PM today (17th) that its wholly-owned subsidiary, TSMC Global Ltd., purchased 200,000 units of corporate bonds with the code ‘38141GYM0’ between June 6 and June 17, at a unit price of $96.40, amounting to a total transaction value of $193 million. This reflects TSMC's ongoing commitment to strengthen its fixed income asset allocation strategy.

According to the announcement, after this transaction, TSMC Global Ltd. holds a total of 1.533 million units of these bonds, totaling $1.478 billion, without any pledges or restrictions involved. This investment does not involve any related-party background and is purely of an investment nature.

TSMC stated that this investment falls under fixed income asset operations, and according to the latest financial report, such securities investments account for 5.80% of the company's total assets and 7.67% of the parent company's equity, indicating a robust capital management.
