Conflict Resurfaces Between Higuchi Rice Balls and Landlady, Owner Faces Legal Challenges

Higuchi Rice Balls faces another issue as the landlady and the owner couple have a heated argument late at night, alarming neighbors who rushed to check the situation. This establishment, run by a Japanese-Taiwanese couple in Kaohsiung, had a previous conflict with the landlady two months ago, which appeared to be resolved with the store's announcement to relocate. However, on the evening of the 16th, a second dispute erupted.
At around 9 PM, the landlady was heard wailing on the street, "Help, Higuchi is attacking me," while the owner responded, "It's us!" The loud commotion prompted nearby residents to open their windows to see what was happening. Police soon arrived at the scene, where the landlady accused the couple of only paying for utilities and wanting to use the deposit to cover rent, leading to an explosive confrontation.
The owner’s wife claimed the landlady kicked down the front door and tried to push her husband, prompting him to react in defense. They plan to file charges for trespassing, damage, and intimidation, while the landlady alleges she was assaulted and has accused the owner of assault.
PTT users commented that if the landlady's account holds true, Higuchi Rice Balls might not have a solid position in this matter. Under rental agreements, deposits cannot be used to offset rent, and it was suggested that both parties need to find a clear resolution to avoid further complications.
