Trump Criticizes Too Many Holidays in America: Workers Don’t Want This

President Trump commented on the holiday of Juneteenth, stating that there are too many non-working holidays in the U.S., leading to significant economic losses. Today (19th), stock markets in the U.S. are closed in observance of the federal holiday, which has been recognized since the Biden administration. He emphasized that this situation is harmful to businesses and that workers also do not wish for such holidays.

On his social media platform Truth Social, Trump stated, “America has too many non-working holidays. This leads to business shutdowns and costs the nation billions of dollars; moreover, workers do not want this.” He further warned, “If this continues, eventually all working days could become holidays, and things must change to make America great again.”

It is noteworthy that Trump made this statement on Juneteenth, a significant day for the African American community, commemorating the abolition of slavery. In 2021, former President Biden signed a law establishing Juneteenth as the 11th federal holiday, which received bipartisan support.
