Taiwan Futures Exchange Participates in UK International Derivatives Expo to Expand European Market

In a bid to further internationalize Taiwan's futures market and strengthen foreign participation, the Taiwan Futures Exchange will participate in the International Derivatives Expo (IDX) hosted by the Futures Industry Association (FIA) in London, UK, from June 16 to 18. The exchange aims to promote the unique features and advantages of Taiwan's futures market by establishing a booth and scheduling discussions with foreign investors.
The FIA IDX is recognized as a significant annual event in the European derivatives market, attracting exchanges, clearinghouses, brokers, institutional investors, and information service providers from around the globe. This year’s conference focuses on the development trends of the European and global derivatives markets, covering topics such as the rebuilding of UK-EU and EU-US financial relations, changes in regulatory policies, advancements in trading and clearing technologies, strengthening operational resilience, and the applications of artificial intelligence and cloud solutions.
Nearly a thousand representatives from 35 countries will gather to create the most representative platform for derivatives market exchanges in Europe, providing an opportunity for all exhibitors to enhance their market visibility and international exposure.
The delegation led by Deputy General Manager Yang Chao-Shun will engage actively with European traders and institutional investors during the exhibition and meetings. Discussions with European and Middle Eastern foreign institutions will introduce Taiwan's latest developments in the futures market, including the active trading of Taiwan stock index and individual stock futures, the ongoing expansion of night market products, and the rising foreign participation, as well as promoting unique products such as the Friday-expiring Taiwan index options set to launch soon. The Taiwan Futures Exchange will continue to actively expand its international business, leveraging participation in FIA IDX to deepen connections with the European market and international foreign capital clients, while also enhancing the visibility and attractiveness of the Taiwan futures market.
