Taiwan Travelers to Enjoy 14-Day Visa-Free Entry to the Philippines, Strengthening Bilateral Relations

The Philippine government announced today (19th) that starting from July 1, 2025, holders of Taiwanese passports can enter the country visa-free for 14 days. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that this initiative will help strengthen cooperation between Taiwan and the Philippines in trade, investment, and tourism.
According to the announcement, travelers entering for tourism purposes will not be able to extend their stay or change to another visa category after the 14-day period. Minister of Foreign Affairs Lin Chia-lung mentioned at the Philippine National Day event that Taiwan has also extended the visa exemption for Filipinos for another year, highlighting the mutual benefits of this agreement.
The Ministry emphasized that this policy is the result of years of negotiations and urged travelers to comply with local laws and ensure their safety. In case of emergencies, travelers can contact the Philippine Representative Office for assistance.
