AVC Beach Volleyball Championships in Pingtung This July with Korean Star Joining

The AVC Beach Volleyball Championships will take place from July 17 to 20 at the Donggang Dapeng Bay Coastal Recreation Area in Pingtung, southern Taiwan, with a launching ceremony on the 26th where guests will take photos with Taiwanese athletes.
Teams from 17 countries and regions, totaling 48 teams, will compete, with two men’s and two women’s teams representing Taiwan. Notable athletes such as the popular South Korean player Shin Ji-eun will be present.
Chun-Cheng Gong, President of the Republic of China Volleyball Association, stated that beach volleyball has been a beloved sport since becoming an Olympic event in 1996, and the event this year incorporates indigenous cultural elements, enhancing the experience for all participants.
The Ministry of Education Sports Department will officially launch on September 9, continuing to support and promote sports, particularly beach volleyball, which is well-suited for public participation.
The Pingtung event will offer a $2500 prize for winners in both men’s and women’s categories and is expected to attract a stellar lineup of athletes.
