Suan Fishing Boat Detained for Entering Japanese Economic Waters Released After Paying 630,000

The Suan-registered fishing boat 'Red Tail No. 6' was allegedly detained on the 20th for operating illegally in Japanese economic waters. Six crew members were also taken into custody. After negotiations with the Japanese authorities and the payment of a guarantee fee, the captain was safely released and returned to the fishing vessel.
The boat was seized by the Japanese Fisheries Agency around 9 AM on the 20th. According to available information, it was located at latitude 24°16.67′ N and longitude 122°43.25′ E. The captain was removed for further questioning. The Fisheries Agency stated that after a guarantee of TWD 630,000 was posted, all six crew members were released on the 21st at around 1:10 PM and returned to Suan that evening.
